Community Potluck and Vigil

Coming up next is the April Beacon Hill Community Potluck, which will also be a vigil space.

Join us as we gather on the evening before to collectively mourn, honor, and remember those we have lost. This is a space for all to be remembered and mourned. Bring photos, names, flowers, candles to contribute to the collective altar. Anyone is welcome to share a story, a poem, a song, etc. about someone meaningful to you who has died.

Where: Beacon Food Forest, located in Jefferson Park off South Dakota Street. We'll be meeting at the gathering space at the southeast end of the food forest (close to the parking lot). What to bring: A dish to share, chairs and blankets for sitting, flowers and items for the altar, layers or rain gear depending on weather Access notes: There's a parking lot on S Dakota; we also recommend walking, biking, or taking the bus (50, 60, and 107 stop right by the Food Forest on 15th). There is a gravel path to access the gathering space. This is an outdoor event! We'll have some shelter present in case of rain, but dress accordingly.

Together, we will help each other honor the dead, so that we may continue to fight for the living.
