Potluck and Film 7/25 5pm-8pm
We invite you all to our next potluck this evening which will be a film screening and discussion of Elements of Mutual Aid with the producers who are on a nationwide tour. We will be screening Chapter 2: Earth, please read the blurb below for more information or check out their website here. There will be Spanish subtitles available with the film. Kid friendly event.
This chapter takes a look at how to grow projects with strong, interconnected roots that can support communities. It explores how local needs and capacity should inform our projects, how we can network smaller projects over large areas, and how we can build infrastructure that outlasts crisis points. Meet a harm reduction project in Tucson, an international decentralized disaster response network, and a web of mutual aid centers in Puerto Rico.
